CL Yachts has released the first images of its CLB65 SUV. The 19.70 m model replaces the flybridge of the existing CLB65 with a single-level living area and a flexible stern layout.
The yacht completed sea trials this summer and has since arrived in Hong Kong. Following a private presentation for selected clients and brokers at the shipyard, it will make its official debut at the Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show – Festa Nautica from 6 to 8 November 2026. A further appearance is scheduled for the Hong Kong International Boat Show from 3 to 6 December.
The CLB65 SUV extends the yard’s B-Series with a sportier model aimed primarily at owner-operators. Developed with naval architect Howard Apollonio and structural engineering specialists at Gurit, it features a resin-infused composite hull reinforced with carbon fibre in selected areas to reduce weight.
28 knots during sea trials
Propulsion options comprise twin Caterpillar C18 engines rated at 1,136 hp each or twin Volvo Penta D13 engines delivering 1,000 hp each. According to the yard, the Caterpillar-powered yacht reached 28 knots at half load during sea trials, with a cruising speed of 21 knots.
The optional ZF JMS joystick manoeuvring system can be operated from either wing to assist with docking. For stabilisation, owners can choose electric fins or a gyro, paired with active interceptors. A RINA Hull Construction Statement or CE Proof Category B certification is also available.
Flexible stern layout
A key feature is the multipurpose stern area, which can be used for fishing and diving, as a beach club or, when required, as a temporary cabin. A teak-laid bathing platform provides access to the water.
The aft lounge offers space for outdoor dining, a daybed and a bar with two stools. Further sunpads and seating are located on the foredeck.
On the main deck, the aft deck, galley and saloon share a single level. Positioned between the outdoor area and the saloon, the galley opens towards the aft deck through a flip-up window and a sliding door on the port side. An electric grill and two bar stools complete this area, while a breakfast nook sits opposite the galley.
The saloon features large windows, an opening port-side window and an opening roof. A pop-up, swivelling television is also fitted. Further forward, the helm station has two seats.
Three guest cabins below deck
Supertomato Studio designed the interiors, combining natural materials with neutral colours. Owners can choose walnut or white oak finishes.
Below deck, the owner’s cabin spans the yacht’s full 5.85 m beam. It features large hull windows on both sides, a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with twin washbasins and a shower. A VIP cabin has its own bathroom and a skylight, while a further en-suite guest cabin offers a flexible bed arrangement. An additional space can serve as a utility room or crew cabin. The yacht accommodates six guests and one crew member.
Martin Lo, Director of CL Yachts, says: “CLB65 SUV builds on the success of the CLB65 and on our five generations of boat-building experience. As our first SUV yacht and our sportiest, most compact model to date, it is designed for year-round family adventures, with exciting outdoor spaces and calming indoor retreats. We are delighted to present it to the industry ahead of its Asian premiere”.
