Turkish yacht builder Numarine has opened a new office in Fort Lauderdale and changed its sales structure in the Americas. The shipyard will now represent itself in the region through its own team rather than an exclusive brokerage partner.
The new office is headed by Ali Tanir, Head of Numarine Americas. Owners, prospective clients and brokers throughout the Americas will now be able to deal directly with the shipyard. Numarine will also work with all brokers and brokerage houses in the region.
“No single broker house acts as Numarine’s representative in the region, and any broker with a client interested in our yachts is welcome to get in touch with the Fort Lauderdale office,” explained Tanir.
He also thanked the company’s previous exclusive partner, Denison, for their cooperation over the years. According to Tanir, Numarine is currently in discussions with several brokerage houses, including Denison, about potential future partnerships.

Patrik von Sydow, CEO of Numarine, emphasised the importance of the American market for the shipyard.
“The Americas, together with Turkey, make up Numarine’s largest client group, and the new office is designed to give that market the same direct access to the shipyard that owners in our home country already have. With our own office and our own team in Fort Lauderdale, owners and brokers speak to the shipyard directly.”
According to Tanir, Fort Lauderdale was chosen because of its importance to the yachting industry. However, the new office will serve clients and brokers throughout the Americas.
“Fort Lauderdale is where much of the industry is based, so it was the obvious place for us. But at the same time this office is not just for Florida. We will be reaching clients and brokers in every state and we’re looking forward to establishing new connections.”
