Cantiere del Pardo presented the first Grand Soleil 60 at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026. The new 19.68 m sailing yacht combines the performance of a fast cruiser with spacious accommodation designed for extended voyages.
The Grand Soleil 60 was developed in collaboration with naval architect Matteo Polli and design studio Nauta, responsible for the exterior and interior design. The yacht features a slender hull, vertical bow and low-profile coachroof. A spacious cockpit and fold-down bathing platform provide ample outdoor space, while the sail plan reflects the model’s performance-oriented design.
With a maximum beam of 5.80 m, the yacht offers generous interior volumes. The open-plan saloon features large hull windows, portholes and overhead hatches, allowing natural light into the living area. A dining table accommodates up to six people and can be converted into an additional seating area.
The navigation station features a large touchscreen display, while the open-plan galley is positioned on a slightly lower level towards the forward bulkhead. Equipment options include an induction hob, electric oven, full-height fridge-freezer, dishwasher and wine cooler. Additional storage is provided by overhead cupboards and compartments beneath the floorboards.
Three or four cabins
The Grand Soleil 60 is available with three or four cabins. In the standard configuration, a pantry opposite the U-shaped galley provides additional worktop and storage space. Alternatively, this area can accommodate a fourth cabin with two berths, as selected by the owner of the first yacht.
The owner’s suite is located forward and features a longitudinal double bed positioned close to the yacht’s centre of gravity to minimise movement underway. The cabin also includes extensive storage and a private bathroom with a separate shower.
Two guest cabins are located aft of the saloon, both with en-suite bathrooms. The port cabin has a double bed, while the starboard cabin is available with either twin beds or an optional double bed. Individually adjustable air conditioning and heating, together with opening hatches, contribute to onboard comfort.
Designed for performance
Naval architect Matteo Polli drew on his experience in racing yacht optimisation to develop the hull and sail plan. The Grand Soleil 60 features a 2.80 m deep bulb keel, a single spade rudder and a 25.7 m mast. The hull is constructed using a vinylester resin sandwich structure, designed to combine stiffness with reduced weight.
According to the shipyard, the hull’s slender underwater sections reduce resistance in light winds. The yacht is designed to maintain speeds of around 6 to 7 kn in winds below 10 kn. With increasing wind strength, the high-aspect-ratio mainsail and 102 m² jib allow speeds of approximately 10 kn.
The spacious cockpit features guest seating separated from the sailing controls. Height-adjustable tables can accommodate up to eight people or be converted into a sunbathing area. Running rigging is led aft to the helm stations, where Harken Performa electric winches and controls for the electric and hydraulic systems are integrated into the cockpit coamings.
The standard mast is made from high-strength aluminium alloy, while an optional carbon mast is available. The sail configuration accommodates a self-tacking jib, staysail and overlapping genoa. The bowsprit incorporates two electric furlers and additional tack points for Code sails and furling gennakers.
According to Cantiere del Pardo, the deck layout and handling systems allow an experienced owner to sail the yacht without a professional crew. An optional crew berth can be installed in the forward locker.
The Grand Soleil 60 has an overall length of 19.68 m, a displacement of 27 t and standard engine power of 175 hp. Fuel and freshwater capacities are 1,140 l and 1,000 l respectively. Depending on the cabin configuration, the yacht accommodates six to nine guests.
