The Dutch company Zeelander Yachts has added a new flagship to its collection with the 23.9-meter-long Zeelander 8.
The Zeelander 8 is the largest yacht ever built by Zeelander. It is an evolution of the existing product line, which starts at 14.7 meters (48 ft).
Despite its length, the Zeelander 8 maintains the same perfect proportions as its smaller sisters. The experienced influence of designer Cor D. Rover and Zeelander’s dedicated in-house design team is evident, according to the yacht builder.
On deck, the additional volume translates to more space for a relaxation area and a large dining table with surrounding seating. Below deck, there is an owner’s cabin as well as two additional guest double cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms.
In the bow of the boat, cabins for up to three crew members are provided, with a separate entrance to ensure complete privacy for the owner and their guests.
“When designing the Zeelander, I was strongly inspired by the timeless beauty of New England and its lobster boats, as well as by the classic fast commuter yachts that business tycoons used to commute from their Long Island estates to their offices on Wall Street each morning,” said Cor D. Rover. “This inspiration, combined with cutting-edge technology and the highest luxury standards, has resulted in the epitome of beauty and style that Zeelander is today and will continue to be in the years to come.”
Zeelander has a flexible design
At the stern, the yacht features a 12-square-meter swim platform. Additionally, there is a tender stored in its own garage midships.
The design of the Zeelander is flexible. Key areas such as the aft deck, saloon, and guest cabins, along with other customizations, can be tailored to individual preferences. Many owners like to leave their personal mark on the design. From favorite leather choices to specific light fixtures or carpet patterns—Zeelander welcomes special requests.
Furthermore, the Dutch yacht builder has focused on noise and vibration reduction in the new Zeelander. The yacht can run at full speed without the noise level on board ever exceeding the 65 dBa limit, they state. The vessel’s top speed is 40 knots.
