With the withdrawal of Henk and Tom de Vries from day-to-day operations, Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw marks a significant moment in the history of the family business.

The generational transition was celebrated at the yard in Aalsmeer under the motto “Passing the Helm with Flying Colours”. More than 500 guests from the national and international superyacht industry, along with family and long-standing associates, attended the event.

The company has long stood for long-term thinking, craftsmanship and continuity. These principles also shape collaboration within Feadship and have guided the step-by-step development of its leadership structure in recent years.

Operational management will in future be led by Roderick de Vries (CEO), Rob de Vries (Chief Projects Officer), Bas Nederpelt (Chief Commercial Officer and Feadship Director) and John Veldman (Chief Financial Officer). Together, the management team brings more than 80 years of experience within the company and will continue to build on a course focused on quality and long-term collaboration.

Henk and Tom de Vries will remain involved as shareholders and members of the supervisory board, and will also act as ambassadors for Feadship.
