German superyacht furniture specialist Octoport has introduced the OX1 Club Chair, designed for use both indoors and outdoors
The OX1 Club Chair is a sculptural seat that combines carbon fibre, precision metalwork and bespoke upholstery.
Designed by Arun Maheswaran, founder of Octoport, the OX1 was created for contemporary yacht interiors and outdoor spaces. Its design principle is to make the structure visible.
Exposed carbon-fibre elements, precision-made stainless-steel fittings and individually finished tubular components form the chair’s distinctive appearance.
The OX collection comprises three models: the OX1 club chair, the OX2 two-seater and the OX3 three-seater. They share a design language, allowing designers and owners to use matching furniture throughout a yacht.
Each piece is made to order. Frame colours, upholstery and metal finishes can be specified for each project. The tubular elements are available in paint finishes suitable for yachts, while upholstery options include fabric, leather and weatherproof textiles.
The OX collection is also available with a fully polished stainless-steel structure and fittings finished individually by hand.
Arun Maheswaran comments: “The OX Collection is a true 360-degree design that can move naturally between interior and exterior spaces while retaining its distinctive identity.”
