Astra Nord and TAG – The A Group have presented “Ciappaira”, Project A-730: a 65-metre motor yacht designed by the Monaco-based studio and intended to be built by Astra Nord in Germany.
Unveiled during the Monaco Yacht Show, “Ciappaira” is now being offered as a newbuild project. The yacht takes her name from Plage Ciappaira, a secluded pebble cove below the Rock of Monaco, accessible by a staircase and known mainly to local residents.
“Ciappaira” is arranged over five decks and accommodates twelve guests in six cabins. An entire family deck is dedicated to the owner and their family, with a family lounge aft and the owner’s stateroom forward, opening onto a private foredeck with a spa pool. The main deck houses the saloon, dining room and guest cabins, while the upper deck opens aft onto an alfresco dining terrace.
Aft on the main deck, an extended platform provides a spacious lounge area and a 4.2 × 3.6-metre pool.
At the waterline, the stern opens into a beach club with a lounge, pool, sauna, hammam and fitness area, flanked by fold-down terraces. The tenders are stowed forward on the main deck, leaving the stern available for leisure activities and access to the water.

The exterior features long, layered decks, timber-lined overhangs and extensive glazing, with an emphasis on sea views from the interior. The transom incorporates stone as a reference to the rock that inspired the project. The design draws on TAG’s experience in Mediterranean architecture.
“Ciappaira is a yacht you understand the moment you see her. TAG has drawn her with the eye of an architect and the knowledge of a builder. Our task is to carry that to the water exactly as it was intended, and to find the family she was drawn for”, says Theodoros Fotiadis, founder of Astra Nord.
Astra Nord will present “Ciappaira” to prospective owners alongside its broker partners and assemble the build team together with TAG. The design is offered for an initial build, with scope for additional hulls.
