Berlin-based designer Theodoros Fotiadis has unveiled a new 87-metre yacht concept, “August”, following his earlier designs “Spear” (140 m) and “Neon” (78 m).
New from Berlin-based designer Theodoros Fotiadis: following the 140-metre “Spear” and the 78-metre “Neon”, he now presents a new 87-metre yacht concept named “August”.
With “August”, Fotiadis introduces a superyacht concept that combines clean lines with a restrained, functional design approach. The project is intended to be built in Germany by Astra Nord Superyachts.
The exterior follows a reduced design language shaped by German principles, with flowing lines and balanced proportions. Generous outdoor areas across multiple decks are designed for extensive use, with a beach club at the stern serving as a multifunctional space combining wellness, fitness and social areas.
Inside, the concept focuses on light materials, natural tones and open layouts. Large openings are intended to strengthen the connection between interior and exterior spaces while maximising natural light. The overall design prioritises comfort and functionality within a calm, understated atmosphere.
Technically, “August” is intended to reflect key characteristics of German shipbuilding, including structured development processes, high build quality and durable materials. The concept places particular emphasis on operational reliability, system redundancy and long-term value retention.
