The Italian shipyard Siman, based in Pisa, has announced the launch of its newest superyacht, the 45-meter “Como”.
The 499 GT newbuild features a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. The design and layout were created by the British studio Harrison Eidsgaard. According to the shipyard, they have given the superyacht a sober yet elegant style. The yacht is powered by two Caterpillar engines, each producing 1,200 kW.
Siman – yacht builder since 2018
The Siman shipyard has been active since 1988 in the fields of mechanical machining, ship repair, and related activities, specializing in mechanical and propulsion systems. According to the company, its constant growth over the years has led to an expansion of its production processes, now including metalwork, machining, sandblasting, thermal and acoustic insulation, piping, and interior painting. This dynamic development has enabled Siman to become one of the main suppliers to the Italian Navy, capable of carrying out large-scale work and maintenance on the platform systems of major naval units.
After years of experience building superyachts on behalf of some of Italy’s most prestigious shipyards, Siman began producing its own superyachts. The company has now fully established itself as a superyacht manufacturer, introducing its own brand to the market. One of its notable yachts is “Miss Candy”, a 45.50-meter vessel with a beam of 9.20 meters and a top speed of 15 knots, which was delivered in 2022.
