GX Superyachts launches first GX42

GX Superyachts has launched the first GX42, its 42-metre flagship, ahead of the yacht’s world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.

The launch comes two years after the company first presented its GX Superyachts concept in Monaco. The yacht will now undergo final outfitting and sea trials before travelling to the show.

Developed by the team behind Greenline Yachts and built in collaboration with SES Yachts in Türkiye, the GX42 combines a parallel diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system with integrated solar panels and a large lithium battery bank.

According to GX Superyachts, the yacht can operate in zero-emission mode for up to 48 hours while at anchor. The company also says the energy system can reduce onboard electricity consumption by up to 45%, while lowering the use of generators and reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

“Only two years ago we introduced a bold new vision for the future of superyachting in Monaco. Seeing the first GX42 enter the water proves that this vision has become reality,” said yard owner Vladimir Zinchenko.

The exterior and interior design were developed by Italian designer Marco Casali of Too Design. The yacht is intended for extended cruising and features clean architectural lines, natural materials and spaces designed to strengthen the connection between guests and the sea.

Technical consultant Andrea Armas of Specialist Marine has worked with the GX Superyachts board and spent the past three years at the SES Yachts facility overseeing the design, engineering and production of the GX42.

Following completion of the remaining sea trials, the yacht is scheduled to make its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show from 23 to 26 September 2026.

The GX42 is the first model in a planned GX Superyachts range covering yachts from 24 to 56 metres.
