Earlier this year, Robert Lewandowski placed an order with Sunreef Yachts; now Lionel Messi is following suit.
The Argentine footballer has ordered an Ultima 88 from the Polish yacht builder. The vessel, which is approximately 29 metres long, is currently being built at the Sunreef shipyard in the United Arab Emirates .
On board the yacht are four guest cabins, each offering a private retreat. The Ultima 88 also features an owner’s suite that spans the entire 9.30-metre beam of the vessel.
The yacht also features Sunreef’s signature Ocean Lounge with direct access to the water, offering opportunities for swimming, water sports and relaxation. A separate jet ski garage ensures that the equipment is easily accessible at all times. There is also a gym on board.
The flybridge yacht is powered by two engines, each with an output of 736 kW.
Messi is yet another footballer, following in Robert Lewandowski’s footsteps, to have ordered a Sunreef yacht. In January, Lewandowski placed an order for the 80 Sunreef Power Next, which is just under 24 metres long. He thus joined the ‘Sunreef Yachts family’, which also includes tennis player Rafael Nadal and racing driver Fernando Alonso.
The Gdansk-based shipyard Sunreef Yachts specialises in sailing and motor catamarans. As well as luxury, the manufacturer prioritises environmental friendliness and also offers its models in an Eco series. This series features, amongst other things, electric propulsion systems, solar panels and sustainable materials such as recycled PET bottles.
