Denison Yachting has appointed Patrick Coote as its new worldwide President. The appointment follows OceanWorld Group’s acquisition of a majority stake in the US-based yacht brokerage and marks the beginning of an international expansion strategy

Denison Yachting has named Patrick Coote as President, with responsibility for the company’s international development. His appointment follows the completion of a strategic partnership with OceanWorld Group, which has become Denison’s majority shareholder.

The new ownership structure is intended to strengthen Denison’s established position in the US market while expanding its activities in Europe and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The strategy includes organic growth, targeted acquisitions and investment in the company’s brokerage, dealership and other yachting services.

Coote will oversee the implementation of this strategy, focusing on operational performance, cooperation between regional teams and the expansion of the company’s international presence.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in the superyacht industry. His previous positions include senior management roles at Fraser Yachts, Northrop & Johnson, Azimut Benetti Group and Blohm+Voss. Most recently, he worked in MarineMax’s Superyacht Division, covering several brands within the group’s portfolio.

His experience includes yacht sales and brokerage, charter, yacht management, newbuild construction and refit, as well as international business development.

“Denison has built an outstanding business in the United States, an exceptional reputation among its clients and, importantly, an incredibly strong team. The opportunity now is to build on those foundations and develop Denison on a truly international scale,” says Coote.

Alongside its geographical expansion, Denison plans to recruit additional staff across its key markets. The company also intends to invest further in its existing US operations.

OceanWorld Group operates internationally in yacht sales, brokerage, charter, management, crewing, manufacturing and marine services. According to the company, the majority investment is expected to create opportunities for closer cooperation across these activities.

“Patrick’s appointment reflects the scale of our ambition for Denison,” says Lydia Pascarelli, CEO of OceanWorld Group. She adds that Coote will oversee Denison’s global brokerage division, working alongside the company’s CEO, Bryan Braley.

The appointment is intended to strengthen Denison’s management structure as the company pursues further international growth.
