Videoworks has designed, integrated and commissioned the audio-visual, IT and communications platform aboard the 67-metre CRN fully bespoke superyacht “Amor à Vida”.
The system combines entertainment, automation, communications and cybersecurity within a single digital environment.
Designed to support both private use and charter operations, the system is based on a centralised architecture intended to simplify maintenance and provide flexibility for future upgrades. Instead of distributing equipment throughout the yacht, the AV and network hardware is housed in dedicated equipment racks.
At the core of the installation is a high-performance IP network that distributes high-definition video and audio throughout the yacht. The AV-over-IP architecture allows entertainment content to be accessed in different areas on board and is designed to accommodate future technological upgrades.
The system is managed through Crestron’s automation platform, enabling guests and crew to control entertainment, lighting and other onboard systems via tablets and smartphones.
A dedicated application for the Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) provides centralised monitoring of connected equipment. It also enables remote diagnostics and system reboots, allowing technical issues to be addressed without direct access to individual components.
According to Videoworks, the integrated approach is intended to simplify operation and maintenance while providing the flexibility required for both owner and charter use.
