Van der Valk Shipyard has joined the hull and superstructure of Project ZEN, the largest yacht in its fleet.
The work was recently completed at the shipyard’s facilities in Waalwijk. The 48-metre Project ZEN (yard number WV0149) is based on an entirely new platform. The raised pilothouse yacht combines exterior and interior design by Guido de Groot with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. It features a Hull Vane and has a transpacific range of more than 4,400 nm. Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
“Our yard is attracting clients who love to immerse themselves in creating something special and are not prepared to settle for an off-the-shelf product. It’s a lifestyle choice and they enjoy the process of developing their perfect yacht as much as they do the ultimate end result,” says Yoeri Bijker, Commercial Director at Van der Valk Shipyard.
Project ZEN has been designed around family life at sea. Features include a bow lounge, a spa pool and a lower-deck garage for a tender and a jet ski. A side-opening ramp provides access for launching and retrieving the watercraft.
