Zeelander Yachts sells two more “Zeelander 8” yachts

Zeelander Yachts announces the sale of two additional units of its new flagship, the 24-meter (79ft) “Zeelander 8”. Both yachts will be delivered in the Mediterranean.

The “Zeelander 8″ is the largest yacht ever built by the company, but it is also a close development of the existing product line, which starts at 14.7m (48ft). It sports the voluptuous lines, effortless power, and whisper quiet operation for which Zeelander is renowned. The first hull of the yacht was launched in October 2024.

“I am delighted with the recent success and the signing of contracts for two additional units of our flagship model,” said founder and owner Sietse Koopmans. “Each Zeelander yacht is a masterpiece in a state of continuous evolution, and every yacht we produce is truly one of a kind. The ‘Zeelander 8” continues to redefine standards in the yachting world with its advanced design and whisper-quiet operation, offering unparalleled comfort and sophistication on the water.”

While the identities of the second and third hull owners remain private, Koopmans confirms that the brand prides itself on cultivating long-term relationships. Many clients are repeat buyers, upgrading from earlier models to the new flagship.

It is a testament to the design team that the yacht shares the same proportions as its smaller sisters, despite that impressive length. One of the newly sold yachts will sport a mono-color pearlescent white finish, while the other hull’s color is still being defined, allowing for further customization by the owner. And one of them is specifically tailored for water sports enthusiasts, showcasing Zeelander’s commitment to delivering a versatile and enjoyable on-water experience.

Customization plays a central role in each build. The owners collaborate closely with Zeelander’s design team to finalize every detail, from layout configurations to materials and finishes. The flexibility extends to both interiors and exteriors, ensuring each yacht is as unique as its owner.

Wide range of customization choices

At deck-level, the extra volume means more space for both a dedicated relaxing area and a large dining table with wrap-around seating. Then, below deck, there is a full-beam owner’s cabin amidships plus two further guest doubles, all with ensuite bathrooms. It combines a superyacht soul with a 24m (79ft) hull.

If desired, the bow of the boat is designated for cabins that can accommodate up to three crew members, with a separate entrance that ensures complete privacy for the owner and guests.

No description of the “Zeelander 8” would be complete without evoking the appeal of the aft deck. Deeply padded leatherette seats cocoon their occupants around a high gloss table. Then, at the touch of a button, the transom swings open to create a huge 12 square metre bathing platform, essentially a private beach club, suspended invitingly above the water.

The tender doesn’t dilute the pleasure of this space, as it has its own dedicated garage amidships, running the full beam of the yacht. Similar to life on a superyacht, the captain and crew can enjoy cooking together in the crew kitchen.

Top speed is 40 knots

Owners know their minds when it comes to the details of living aboard, and Zeelander’s owners are among the world’s most discerning. That is why the company takes a flexible approach on the finer points of its yachts. The layout of key areas, such as the aft deck, saloon, and guest cabins, along with other customizations, can be tailored to individual preferences. Many owners want to put their own flourish on the styling, as well. From a favorite leather to a specific lamp fitting or carpet motif, the shipyard offers a wide range of customization choices.

“Zeelander 8” as well as the smaller models of the shipyard also shines as the exceptional chase boat for superyachts. Combining speed, elegance, and versatility, they perfectly complement the larger vessels they accompany, providing a stylish and practical option for shorter trips, shore excursions, or guest transfers.

Zeelander has poured its industry-leading experience of noise and vibration attenuation into the new design. At full throttle, the yacht can operate without noise levels on board ever breaking the 65dBa barrier, which makes the Zeelander 8 the quietest vessel in its class. This is particularly impressive since the usual threshold for normal conversation is around 72dBa. Even at anchor, with all equipment running, the noise level remains as low as 35 dBa. In other words, it will always be an oasis of calm comfort – even at its exhilarating top speed of 40 knots.
