Royal Huisman has unveiled new images of its 85 m Project 410 at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show. The yacht is nearing completion and is set to become the world’s largest sloop.
Designed by Frers Design, which is responsible for the exterior and naval architecture, Project 410 has interiors by Wetzels Brown. Royal Huisman has released few details since announcing the commission. The last major construction update came in summer 2024, when the aluminium hull was turned.
The yacht is scheduled to leave the shipyard’s newbuild facility in Vollenhove in November. It will then be transported to Royal Huisman’s deepwater location near Amsterdam for launch and the stepping of its Rondal carbon mast. The newly released images offer a fuller view of the yacht’s design as it enters the final stage of completion.
According to the shipyard, the brief called for a yacht that could be ready to sail within minutes and perform well in light winds. Frers Design developed a hull with sufficient volume for two decks around a single mast and a relatively small deckhouse. High freeboards provide privacy and protection, while the naval architecture is intended to combine a shallow draught with stability and low heel angles.
“Pure deck lines form a single arrow shape from bow to stern, incorporating the glass pilothouse, while the raked mast and uniquely engineered boom reinforce the yacht’s dynamic profile,” said Mani Frers of Frers Design.
The technical systems include energy regeneration under sail, battery storage and a silent operating mode. Rondal, Royal Huisman’s sister company, has developed the carbon mast, boom and integrated sailing system.
Wetzels Brown began its design work with the interior experience before collaborating with Frers Design on the yacht’s architecture and exterior. Large hull windows, skylights and generous ceiling heights are intended to bring daylight and views of the sea into the living spaces.
The principal living areas are arranged on one level beneath the deckhouse. A double-height entrance leads towards the saloon, while a veranda aft connects with the beach club. The owner’s suite is located forward.
“For us, the interior is about creating an environment where people can relax, feel close to the sea and create memories. The exterior, interior and experience of sailing have been developed as one continuous expression,” said Gillian Brown of Wetzels Brown.
At 85 m, Project 410 will also rank among the world’s ten largest sailing yachts, according to Royal Huisman.
