Lindemann has expanded its onboard entertainment portfolio with the new Nashira AGC DAB antenna from Italian marine electronics specialist Glomex.
The latest generation of the Nashira antenna is now available through the German distributor. According to the manufacturer, the updated version builds on the long-standing Nashira range, which is designed for the reception of DVB-T and DVB-T2 television signals on sailing and motor yachts.
One of the key new features is the Automatic Gain Control (AGC) system. Changes in the distance to terrestrial transmitters can affect signal quality, particularly when vessels move between harbour areas and offshore waters. With conventional systems, signal amplification often has to be adjusted manually. The AGC technology automatically regulates the amplification level according to reception conditions and is intended to optimise signal quality without user intervention.
As manual access to the amplifier is no longer required, the compact unit can be installed in a concealed location within the vessel.
The Nashira antenna retains its characteristic low-profile design. Measuring 55 mm in height and 370 mm in diameter, it is designed to receive vertically polarised television signals. The antenna also features a reinforced mounting base and is now available in black in addition to the standard white finish.
In addition to digital television reception, the system can receive AM and FM radio signals when used together with an optional two-way splitter (V9147). This allows both TV and radio reception through a single antenna installation on board.
