With effect from April 1, Sven Dreyer has taken over the management of Furuno Germany.

Sven Dreyer joined the Japanese manufacturer of electronics for marine navigation and communication in April 2024 as Sales Manager. He had previously worked for the Kiel-based company Anschütz since 1991, initially as a project engineer. Dreyer then held positions as Area Sales Manager and Director Sales. Sven Dreyer studied electrical engineering. He completed his studies at Kiel University of Applied Sciences after serving in the German Navy for three years.

“My appointment is also the result of the positive development of Furuno Deutschland GmbH in recent years. The Group trusts the management and employees to further strengthen Furuno’s position in the market. Since its foundation, Furuno Germany has developed into the leading supplier of navigation and communication systems in this market,” says Sven Dreyer on the occasion of his appointment as Managing Director of Furuno Germany.

Furuno has been active in Germany for over 20 years

The German subsidiary has been selling Furuno products for the German, Dutch, Austrian and Swiss markets since 2005. For these countries, the company offers service, advice and sales for commercial shipping, fishing, pleasure craft and yachts.

The Furuno team currently consists of 39 employees at the German sites in Rellingen, Bremerhaven and Rostock.

Furuno is, among other things, a manufacturer of electronics for marine navigation and communication. Furuno Deutschland GmbH is a 100% subsidiary of the Japanese Furuno Electric Co., Ltd.
