US yacht builder Delta Marine has appointed Tim Kershaw as its new Director of Sales as the shipyard looks to strengthen its position in the custom superyacht segment.
Kershaw joins the Seattle-based builder with 14 years of experience in the superyacht sector. He began his career as a crew member before moving into sales and marketing, where he spent the past decade working with owners, brokers and industry stakeholders. According to Delta Marine, his background also includes legal expertise related to complex yacht transactions.
“This is a dynamic moment for Delta, with significant new projects underway and growing interest from experienced owners,” said Michelle Jones of Delta Marine. “Tim’s market knowledge and hands-on background give him exactly the perspective we want at the front of our new build conversations.”
The appointment comes as Delta Marine currently has two major superyacht projects under construction that can be publicly discussed. These include the 156-ft custom yacht “Discovery”, which focuses on wellness and indoor-outdoor living, as well as the 152-ft full-displacement motoryacht “Zembra”, designed for long-range exploration.
The shipyard says Kershaw will work closely with brokers, owners and family offices across its core markets in the US, Mexico and Europe. He is expected to split his time between these regions while also hosting prospective clients at Delta Marine’s Seattle facility.
Founded around 60 years ago, Delta Marine is one of the established names in the US custom superyacht sector.
