Damen Yachting has announced the sale of another Xplorer 60, with delivery of the 60 m explorer yacht scheduled for 2028.
The latest order further expands the Dutch shipyard’s Xplorer fleet and reflects growing demand for long-range expedition yachts.
Following the delivery of the first Xplorer 60, “After You”, in August 2025, the range now includes several completed projects, among them the 62 m “Anawa”, the 77 m “La Datcha” and the 58 m “Pink Shadow”. According to the shipyard, the latest sale underlines the increasing relevance of explorer yachts within the superyacht market.
The new owner intends to use the yacht for both private expeditions and scientific research missions in some of the world’s most remote regions.
The buyer was represented in the transaction by TWW Yachts. “This is the second consecutive Xplorer acquisition on which we have represented the Owner with Damen Yachting, reflecting both the strength of the design and the growing appeal of the range,” said Alex Heyes of TWW Yachts.
Damen Yachting also views the sale as a further endorsement of the concept. “This sale is a strong endorsement of the Xplorer 60 design and of the momentum we are seeing across the Xplorer range,” said Jorrit Pilaar, Commercial Executive EMEA at Damen Yachting. He added that more owners are looking for yachts capable of supporting longer voyages and more diverse cruising programmes.
