Björn Schlüter starts as new COO at A&R

The German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen (A&R) has a new technical director. Björn Schlüter was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 1 June. 

Björn Schlüter has many years of management experience in shipbuilding, most recently as Head of Construction at Fassmer Shipyard. In the future management duo, the current CEO Matthias Hellmann will take over as Chairman of the Management Board.

Abeking & Rasmussen is a well-known shipbuilder serving a demanding market. The family-owned company is renowned for its megayachts as well as commercial and government vessels. Since its founding in 1907, the shipyard has delivered more than 6,500 ships.
