ATPI Yacht Travel has introduced a 24/7 WhatsApp service for urgent crew travel bookings, providing captains, pursers and heads of department with direct access to specialist support when last-minute travel arrangements are required.

The new service, available from 2 July across the UK and Europe, is designed to help yacht crews respond more quickly to changing operational requirements. Instead of relying on email, authorised users can contact ATPI Yacht Travel specialists directly via WhatsApp to arrange flights and other travel services in real time. Expansion to the US market is planned for the second half of 2026.

According to the company, the service is intended for situations in which immediate action is required, such as last-minute crew changes ahead of a charter, itinerary amendments, medical emergencies or other operational disruptions. The aim is to reduce response times and simplify communication during time-critical travel arrangements.

“The yacht industry operates around the clock, and plans can change at very short notice,” said Fran Blackburn, Director Client Partnerships at ATPI Yacht Travel. “The new WhatsApp service gives our clients direct access to dedicated yacht travel specialists whenever urgent support is needed.”

The WhatsApp channel complements ATPI Yacht Travel’s existing crew travel management services rather than replacing them. It is supported by the company’s wider marine travel network through Direct Travel’s ATPI Marine Travel division, which provides travel management services for the maritime sector worldwide.

ATPI Yacht Travel specialises in crew travel logistics for the superyacht industry, supporting owners, management companies and crews with travel planning and operational assistance.
