Silent Yachts and Luxe Elite Yachts have entered into a partnership aimed at integrating solar-electric propulsion into a professionally managed yacht co-ownership model in the high-end segment.

The cooperation brings together Silent Yachts’ established expertise in solar-electric drive systems and Luxe Elite Yachts’ experience in yacht management and shared ownership structures. The objective is to introduce a flexible ownership format that facilitates access to electric yachting while reducing operational complexity for owners.

The SY62 3-Deck Open by Silent Yachts will be the first solar-powered yacht to be offered under co-ownership within the Luxe Elite Yachts portfolio. The fully electric and emission-free catamaran is designed for quiet, efficient and largely autonomous cruising. Its open three-deck configuration is geared towards outdoor living, with expansive flybridge areas, generous anchoring spaces and multiple social zones. The yacht features four cabins, each with a private head, offering a high level of comfort without noise, fumes or vibration.

“By working with Luxe Elite Yachts, we’re providing owners with the opportunity to enjoy sustainable and efficient cruising in a more flexible way,” commented Steve Bell, Chairman of Silent Yachts. “Through shared ownership, we’re making the Silent Yachts experience more accessible, effortless and intelligently managed.”

The co-ownership structure will consist of four equal shares, each representing a 25% stake and granting 10 weeks of annual usage on a rotating schedule. Owners will also have the option to charter out unused weeks, creating potential to offset operating costs.

The first yacht is scheduled to be based at Village Cay Marina in Road Harbour, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The marina provides access to key cruising grounds in the region. While the yacht is intended to operate primarily in the Caribbean, the co-ownership model is being offered to clients in North America and the Mediterranean.

According to the companies, the partnership is structured around streamlined ownership. Costs and responsibilities are shared among the co-owners, while all operational management is handled by Luxe Elite Yachts. The catamaran will be fully prepared ahead of each owner’s stay and supported by a concierge-style service concept.

“Co-ownership is the smartest way to enjoy yachting at the highest level. Owners gain meaningful time on the water while sharing operating costs,” noted Nicole East, CEO of Luxe Elite Yachts. “The SY62 is a rare combination of quiet luxury and solar innovation. It represents a powerful addition to our fleet and a compelling next step for the luxury buyer.”
