Turkish yacht builder RMK Yachts is expanding its presence in the US with a new office in Miami, strengthening its position in one of the world’s key superyacht markets.
The new location is based within the RMK-Merrill Stevens shipyard, a long-established superyacht refit and repair facility in South Florida. According to the company, the office is intended to provide a permanent local presence for client support, after-sales services and warranty matters.
RMK Yachts said the Miami team will work closely with RMK-Merrill Stevens and the yard’s US representative and broker Juan Morillo to support American clients directly.
“For U.S. clients, proximity is not simply a preference, it is a matter of trust,” said Cuneyt Okcu, Director of RMK Yachts. “Having a physical presence there means being accessible, accountable, and responsive, particularly when it comes to after-sales support and warranty services.”
With the move, the Turkish shipyard is seeking to strengthen customer relationships in the US and expand its international footprint. The company sees local representation as an important factor for yacht owners who value direct access to the builder throughout the ownership cycle.
RMK Yachts is part of Turkey’s Koç Group and is known for custom superyacht newbuilds as well as naval and commercial ship projects.
