Mediterranean yachting season kicks off in Palma

Schaffran

Preparations for this year’s Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) are in full swing, with just two days to go before the event opens its doors.

Traditionally marking the start of the Mediterranean yachting season, the show presents a major expansion this year: for the first time, alongside the established venue at Moll Vell, the Club de Mar area will also be used as exhibition space.

PIBS 2025 with more space

The addition of Club de Mar increases the show’s area by 5,000 square metres. This space will feature superyachts – especially sailing yachts between 40 and 100 metres – as well as service providers specialising in maintenance, repair, shipbuilding, interior design, and marine engineering. This expansion represents a qualitative leap, further strengthening Palma’s position as an internationally significant platform for the large yacht sector.

A water shuttle service will connect Moll Vell and Club de Mar, allowing visitors to move comfortably between the two areas in just five minutes. The Contramoll Mollet road will remain closed until 7 May to allow for the completion of the event set-up.

The Palma International Boat Show will take place from 30 April to 3 May 2025. The event is organised by ADR Balears – on behalf of the Balearic Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy – in collaboration with the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA). Leading industry players and a wide international audience are expected to attend.
