The two companies MAN Engines and Princess Yachts announced today that they intend to continue their successful partnership. The British manufacturer of luxury motor yachts and the propulsion specialist intend to work together until at least the end of 2025.
During this period, MAN Engines will equip all Princess models from 65 feet upwards with V12 and V8 engines. “We value the incredible performance and outstanding power-to-weight ratio of MAN engines. Their propulsion system expertly complements our exceptional yachts and Princess Yachts is delighted to continue our relationship with MAN Engines,” says Paul Mackenzie, Chief Operating Officer, Princess Yachts. Claus Benzler, Head of Marine MAN Engines, also expresses his confidence in the partnership: “We would like to thank Princess Yachts for their trust in our products and the good cooperation. We look forward to a shared future in which we will jointly drive forward innovations in yacht construction and modern propulsion technology.”
MAN Engines currently supplies Princess Yachts with V8 engines from 883 to 956 kW and V12 engines from 1,029 to 1,472 kW. With the MAN Smart Hybrid Experience, the additional power of 184 kW can be flexibly added. All engines meet the current IMO Tier II, RCD II, EPA Tier 3 recreational and China 2 recreational emission standards. This means that all yachts can be sold and operated worldwide.
