The Dutch superyacht builder Heesen Yachts is expanding its commercial presence in Europe and the Americas. To this end, the shipyard has recruited three experienced industry managers.
Folkert Schoots is taking up the post of Commercial Director at the Dutch shipyard in Oss. He has more than 14 years’ experience with a Dutch manufacturer of bespoke superyachts. During his time there, Schoots worked in areas including marketing, new-build sales, refit, service and resale.
Sipke Halbertsma has been appointed Commercial Director – America. Based at Heesen’s branch in Florida, he will be responsible for the markets in the USA and South America. Halbertsma previously worked for a leading Dutch superyacht builder for more than twelve years.
Roxane Ducruet joins the Monaco office as Sales Director – Monaco. She brings nearly ten years’ experience in the local yacht market and will be working alongside Sales Manager Lyam Last. In the Middle East, Hisham Abushakra remains the shipyard’s sales agent in Dubai.
With this new structure, Heesen aims to intensify its collaboration with clients, brokers and captains in its key markets.
“We are heading into the autumn yacht show season with a highly experienced commercial team,” emphasised Heesen CEO Jeroen van der Meer. According to the company, this expansion follows a phase of extensive investment and development under the new Dutch owners.
