Amels 80 “Netto II” embarks on maiden voyage

Schaffran

The new superyacht “Netto II” has departed Damen Yachting’s yard in Vlissingen and embarked on her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean.

The 80 m yacht is part of the Amels Limited Editions series and was built for an experienced owner who intends to use the vessel extensively at sea.

“Netto II” is based on the established Amels 80 platform. Her exterior design was created by Espen Øino, while the interior was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The yacht stands out with a metallic dolphin blue hull, a platinum bootstripe and a white superstructure.

According to the shipyard, the owner placed great emphasis on customisation throughout the project. Owner’s representative Kees de Keizer praised the cooperation with Damen Yachting, highlighting the yard’s flexibility and the possibilities for tailoring the yacht within the series-built platform.

Build Captain Fraser Gow also expressed his satisfaction at the completion of the project. Having accompanied the yacht throughout construction, he is now looking forward to taking her on her first voyages. After years of planning and construction, “Netto II” can finally fulfil the purpose for which she was built: exploring the open ocean.

For Damen Yachting, the delivery marks another milestone for the Amels 80 series. Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Executive USA at Damen Yachting, described the yacht as being designed for a young and adventurous family with a passion for life on and in the water.

“Netto II” follows the award-winning “PANGEA”, which received a Judges’ Commendation at the World Superyacht Awards 2026 in the category for displacement motor yachts between 1,500 GT and 2,499 GT. The recognition highlighted the combination of ocean-going capability, design, engineering and customisation offered by the Amels 80 platform.
