With the delivery of its E-Cat 80 “Gloriamaris”, Turkish builder VisionF Yachts has handed over its second 24-metre all-electric catamaran. The first unit, “Atraversia”, was delivered last spring.
Built in lightweight carbon fibre at VisionF’s Tuzla shipyard, the E-Cat 80 is designed as a semi-custom, all-electric multihull platform. Exterior styling comes from Marco Casali of Too Design, featuring a contemporary catamaran profile combined with fully electric propulsion.
The semi-custom layout allows extensive owner-specific adaptations. On “Gloriamaris”, these include additional solar panels to increase energy autonomy, as well as dedicated technical spaces such as a custom dive cabinet integrated with a high-capacity air and nitrox compressor. The system enables onboard tank refilling without reliance on shore-based infrastructure, supporting operations in remote areas.
With a length of 23.97 metres and a beam of 10.92 metres, the E-Cat 80 offers generous internal volume. The yacht can be configured with four to six staterooms and accommodates up to 10 guests. Interior materials include neutral finishes, vinyl-based woods and marble surfaces. Deck arrangements include an open flybridge with multiple seating zones and optional installations such as a jacuzzi or outdoor cinema.
A 15 sq m tender garage is equipped with a hydraulic stern hatch, electric winch, tie-down points, freshwater shower, waterproof lighting and a 230 VAC outlet, allowing the safe handling and storage of tenders and water toys.
Propulsion is provided by twin Danfoss electric motors rated at 180 kW each, enabling cruising speeds of 6 to 8 knots. Energy generation is supported by 63 solar panels delivering up to 25.2 kW/h, feeding a high-capacity battery system designed for extended periods of fully electric operation.
For higher-speed transits and additional power demand, the yacht is equipped with twin 150 kW generators and a fuel capacity of around five tonnes, providing a maximum range of up to 3,500 nautical miles when required.
