The 55-metre superyacht “Romeo 55” from Dubai-based shipyard Romeo Marine is preparing for her global debut. Featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the 780 GT yacht combines extensive outdoor areas with an interior designed by Pulina Exclusive Interiors.
For Romeo Marine, the “Romeo 55” draws on around two decades of experience in yacht fit-out, refit and rebuild projects, as well as more than 40 years of expertise within the wider Romeo Interiors Group in high-end interiors and fit-out.
A defining feature of the yacht is the extensive use of glass throughout the superstructure. This includes double-height glazing in the aft section, designed to bring natural light into the interior and maintain a close visual connection with the sea. Sculptural details in the deckheads, inspired by the movement of water, further reinforce the connection between the yacht’s interior and exterior spaces.
The outdoor areas are spread across several decks. The owner’s cabin features private balconies, while the main and upper decks offer generous spaces for alfresco dining and relaxation. The sun deck includes an aft spa pool and sunpads, a dedicated fitness area, bar and cinema set-up. An indoor/outdoor panoramic skylounge features a large opening skylight.
The interior by Pulina Exclusive Interiors follows an understated Italian design approach. Five VIP and guest suites are located on the lower deck, complemented by saloons on the main and upper decks with flexible furniture arrangements.
The main deck also includes an interior dining area positioned forward in the saloon and connected to the aft seating area. According to the shipyard, particular attention was paid to circulation throughout the yacht and to creating smooth transitions between interior and exterior areas.
One deck above, the upper saloon is conceived as the yacht’s main social area, with direct access to the upper aft deck. It features a dedicated bar, games table and concealed television.
Power is provided by twin MTU main engines, giving the “Romeo 55” a maximum speed of 15 knots. At a cruising speed of 10 knots, the yacht has a range of 5,200 nautical miles.
With the upcoming global debut of the “Romeo 55”, Romeo Marine is set to present the yacht to an international audience for the first time.
