The 55m steel yacht YN 20655 was recently launched at Heesen and has been named “Solemates.”

According to Heesen, the yacht, previously code-named Project Venus, exemplifies the company’s commitment to luxury and innovation in yacht design.

Rupert Connor of Luxury Yachts, representing the owners, emphasized that returning to Heesen was a natural choice for their experienced client. “Heesen’s exceptional quality standards and unwavering commitment to exceeding expectations ensured that Solemates would be another extraordinary build,” Connor stated. “The construction process with this Dutch shipyard was, once again, a pleasure, as their project team enthusiastically embraced our requests.”

Heesen Yachts tailored the yacht for family use

“Solemates” will now enter the commissioning phase in preparation for her maiden voyage to the North Sea, where she will undergo rigorous sea trials. The yacht is a testament to the owner’s clear vision of a personalized vessel designed for family use. The design process focused on creating a welcoming family atmosphere, enabling cherished moments at sea, Heesen says.

Interior customization is being expertly managed by Heesen’s interior engineers in collaboration with Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture. Together, they aim to create a space that perfectly reflects the owner’s unique preferences. The yacht’s vibrant color scheme—featuring lime green, teal, and baby aqua blue—adds a lively elegance that complements its family-friendly concept.

One of the yacht’s most captivating features is the redesigned main staircase, adorned with acrylic panels embedded with gold flakes and crystals, creating an enchanting visual centerpiece. The bridge deck salon has been thoughtfully crafted to foster family gatherings, while the sundeck boasts an expanded jacuzzi and an adjacent bar, perfect for socializing while enjoying breathtaking ocean views.

“Solemates” will debut at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show

Heesen’s project team has seamlessly incorporated a series of enhancements throughout the yacht’s design, working in close collaboration with the owner’s team. The focus remains on maximizing the family experience with dedicated spaces for leisure, entertainment, and relaxation.

Heesen Yachts’ CEO, Niels Vaessen, expressed his excitement about the launch: “The launch of ‘Solemates’ illustrates our commitment to delivering exceptional quality and innovative design. We take pride in creating yachts that not only meet but exceed the aspirations of our clients.”

“Solemates” is set to make her grand debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September, followed by an appearance at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Delivery of this exceptional superyacht is scheduled for Q2 2025, marking another significant milestone for Heesen Yachts in the realm of luxury yacht manufacturing.
