The online platform Boataround, which specializes in boat and yacht rentals and is based in Bratislava, recently opened a branch in Berlin[ds_preview].
With its presence in the German capital, the team led by founders Pavel Pribis and Jana Escher aims to further expand the German market. According to the company, German interest in the platform is growing. Since this year, almost 40% of bookings have come from Germany.
In addition to customer service, the team in Berlin will primarily focus on the further expansion of destinations and the number of boats and yachts available to Boataround customers in Germany, according to the company. The range currently includes over 480 models at 40 locations in Germany. Worldwide, more than 24,000 boats in 74 countries are available to German customers.
The globally active company was founded in 2016 and serves customers worldwide, for example from Sweden, Italy, Greece and the USA, according to Boataround. In addition to the newly opened branch in Berlin, there are further branches in Croatia, Greece and Spain as well as the headquarters in Slovakia. Further branches outside Europe are planned for 2022.
