HP Watermakers has provided its water systems for the new yacht “Majesty 100 Terrace”, built by Gulf Craft at its facility in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates.
Once again, HP Watermakers has taken care of the entire onboard water system. In addition to the watermaker, the company installed sterilization and potable water softening systems.
The HP SCD series consists of five models capable of producing between 260 l/h and 1,200 l/h of fresh water. A standout feature is its full automation, ensured by the RP Tronic system, which offers a significant advantage over manual watermakers. This system eliminates the need for continuous pressure adjustments in the engine room to accommodate fluctuations in salinity and water temperature. Most importantly, it performs an efficient end-of-cycle rinse with the valve fully open, eliminating the need for periodic chemical membrane cleaning.
“Majesty 100 Terrace” equipped with two watermakers
The HP SCD DOUBLE 260 installed on the “Majesty 100 Terrace” consists of two independent watermakers housed within the same unit. It has been designed to optimize onboard energy consumption while simultaneously meeting peak potable water demands.
For example, during transfers or periods of low yacht usage, a single watermaker is sufficient, but when cruising with guests, both units operate to meet all onboard requirements. Moreover, in the unlikely event of a failure, a second fully operational watermaker is always available. Additionally, relocating the low-pressure pumps has allowed for a reduction in the unit’s dimensions, greatly improving accessibility within the engine room.
20% more space
The HP SCD DOUBLE 260 measures 1,100 mm in length, 500 mm in height, and 600 mm in depth, with a weight of 130 kg. It has an hourly output ranging from 2×260 to 2×320 l/h and an installed power of 2×2.2 kW.
The “Majesty 100 Terrace” is equipped with modern technology and has a gross tonnage of 199 GT. The yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests and six crew members. Compared to its predecessor, it offers approximately 20% more space for entertainment.
The cockpit balconies expand this area by an additional 15%, and modular seating can be adjusted for use as either sunbeds or dining spaces. The lower deck contains four en-suite cabins. On the upper deck, a sky lounge replaces the raised wheelhouse. The main deck includes large communal areas and a dining table with seating for 10 people. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors provide natural light, and the owner’s suite includes panoramic windows and a private terrace.
