“Spitfire“: Denison offers a new Ares yacht

Tesvolt

“Spitfire” is a 50.6-meter motor yacht designed by Ares Yachts, offered as a new construction opportunity through yacht broker Denison.

According to Ares Yachts, the new build project draws inspiration from the legendary Supermarine Spitfire fighter aircraft, blending sleek design with advanced features. “Spitfire” is built on the foundation of the Ares 150 BOLD, which was awarded the “World’s Best Offshore Patrol Vessel” in 2018. The foundational hull forms have undergone optimization and validation through numerical simulations, experimental testing, and full-scale sea trials. Combining the offshore lineage of its hull with the demands of a superyacht platform offers an innovative blend of design and advanced technical features.

“Spitfire” accommodates 18 guests in five staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck with a private deck featuring a Jacuzzi, movie area, and side balcony, as well as two double and two twin cabins, and five crew cabins. Guest comfort is prioritized through a design that emphasizes informal and flexible living. The interior spaces are thoughtfully tailored to meet diverse guest needs, fostering a relaxed and adaptable atmosphere. The layout is focused on functionality, ensuring an efficient and seamless guest experience.

“Spitfire” operates with zero emissions

“Spitfire” features a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system that optimizes user experience with low noise, emissions, and vibrations. This innovative solution includes a compact and lightweight system capable of six hours in silent mode (without the genset running) or one hour of electric-only cruising. Equipped with variable-speed gensets and a battery package, the yacht can achieve up to 11 hours of silent operation under typical Mediterranean conditions during a 24-hour period, providing zero noise and emissions, while minimizing complexity and optimizing operating costs.

Denison superyacht broker Alex G. Clarke, who represents the project, commented: “Ares Yachts, based in Antalya, is one of the most impressive, state-of-the-art shipyards I have ever been to in Turkey, and I believe the largest facility within the Antalya Free Trade Zone, so I have no doubt that ‘Spitfire’ will reflect that quality when delivered. Ares Yachts has brought together two industry leaders with Lateral Naval Architects and iconic Bannenberg & Rowell to design what I would consider a timeless, modern classic that will turn heads in every marina. Designed for modern day living, ‘Spitfire’ features a wellness approach to cruising with gym, beach club and fold-down balconies. She combines exterior and interior living spaces into one and does it with style.”

“Working with Ares Yachts has been a pleasure as it’s a family run business and that’s important to me,” Alex continued. “Combine that with iconic names of Dickie Bannenberg and Simon Rowell and we have put a dream scenario and project together. Construction is to begin early 2025 with a two-year delivery period. She is priced to reflect the pedigree we expect from Bannenberg & Rowell, which will put Ares Yachts on the map as a premier builder on the global market.”

The project is available as a new construction opportunity with Denison, a joint central listing with Will Christie of Christie Yachts based in London.
