The first yacht project since the takeover of the shipyard by investor Lars Windhorst reaches an important milestone: the technical sea trial on the Baltic Sea[ds_preview].
Less than a year after signing the contract to continue construction, the 70m superyacht “Miza” has successfully completed the technical sea trials on the Baltic Sea. During the three-day program, all technical systems were tested and nautical maneuvers were carried out.
“The yacht is tailored to all the owner’s requirements and also takes into account many of the crew’s wishes in order to guarantee the best comfort on board once the vessel has been handed over. This holistic approach reflects the way Nobiskrug designs and builds superyachts. The shipyard will continue to demonstrate this in its other recently signed new build projects,” according to a statement.
The superyacht was designed inside and out by London-based design studio Winch Design. She has five decks with a large bathing platform on the main deck and bridge, foredeck and aft deck as well as a full-length stern on the sun deck, with dining table, large sun pad area and a pool with counter-current system.
“This superyacht is designed to provide long cruises with low noise and vibration levels, which means exceptional comfort for everyone on board. In addition, the vessel has retractable azimuth thrusters with electronic anchor function to maintain position in areas where you can’t drop anchor,” says Scott Wightman of Motor Yacht Build, who is acting as the owner’s representative and build manager during the build.
The yacht is the first vessel to be launched by Nobiskrug since investor and FSG owner Lars Windhorst took over the business following the shipyard’s insolvency in 2021.
