Overmarine Group has launched the third unit of its Mangusta 165 REV series at its shipyard in Viareggio. The model is the flagship of the Mangusta Maxi Open range and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 knots.
The performance is achieved through a propulsion package consisting of four 2,600 hp Rolls-Royce engines combined with a Kongsberg Kamewa waterjet system. According to the shipyard, the yacht also benefits from Overmarine’s long-standing expertise in composite construction.
The exterior design was developed by Lobanov Design in cooperation with Overmarine’s technical department. Together, they reinterpreted the traditional lines of the Mangusta open yacht range while optimising the layout and interior volumes. The interior design was created by M2 Atelier together with the shipyard’s design team and was customised to the owner’s requirements.
One of the defining features of the yacht is the main-deck saloon, which is characterised by large floor-to-ceiling windows and two fold-down side balconies. The owner’s suite spans 92 sq. m. and is located on the main deck. According to Overmarine, it is among the largest master staterooms available on yachts below the 499 GT threshold. Guest accommodation is provided in five cabins on the lower deck.
Outdoor areas include a forward lounge with seating, sunpads and a Jacuzzi, while the sundeck features additional lounge areas and a bar. The aft beach club has been redesigned for the 165 REV series. A side-loading garage provides space for a 6 m tender and two jet skis.
The yacht is scheduled for delivery at the end of June and will spend its first season cruising in the Mediterranean. The sale of the vessel was handled directly by Mangusta Sales Manager Nicolò Strocco.
