The Voith Group has appointed Denise Kurtulus as President and CEO of Voith Turbo and member of the Corporate Board of Management of the Voith Group as of September 1, 2026.

She succeeds Cornelius Weitzmann, who left the company at his own request at the end of 2025. Until his departure, Dirk Hoke, CEO of the Voith Group, will continue to manage the business of the Group Division Turbo on an interim basis.

Denise Kurtulus joins from Rolls-Royce Power Systems, where she was most recently responsible for the Marine and Mining divisions. She has extensive experience in drive technology, particularly in the areas of sales, service and strategic business development.

“Denise Kurtulus has shown that she can quickly penetrate complex markets and consistently translate them into operational strength. With her pronounced customer orientation and deep industry knowledge, she is the ideal person to align Voith Turbo even more closely with the needs of the global markets and thus sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of our drive business,” says Siegfried Russwurm, Chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee and the Supervisory Board of Voith.

Voith aims for profitable growth

With Denise Kurtulus, Voith is setting a clear focus on performance and competitiveness in the drive business, comments Dirk Hoke, CEO of the Voith Group, on the appointment. “Our aim is to consistently align Voith Turbo with profitable growth, reduce complexity and further increase the speed of implementation. The decisive factor will be to make targeted use of market opportunities and to consistently expand our strengths in the area of service and system solutions,” says Hoke.

Denise Kurtulus is looking forward to her new task, her goal is to further develop the business in line with market and customer requirements and to “massively” expand Voith’s position in selected segments.

The Voith Group is a globally active technology group. In the maritime industry, Voith is particularly well known for the Voith Schneider Propeller. The Swabian company is also active in markets such as energy, paper, raw materials and transportation. Founded in 1867, Voith today employs around 21,000 people and generates annual sales of €4.8 billion.
