After the premiere of the T680 Fenice in 2022 – named after the famous opera house in Venice – Tankoa Yachts now introduces the smaller, 52-meter-long sister.

“Just like with the T680 Fenice, we once again asked Enrico Gobbi from the Venetian studio Team for Design to create this second masterpiece. It not only fits perfectly into the 50-meter segment, where Tankoa has always been strong, but also emphasizes our capabilities as a boutique shipyard, capable of delivering unique projects tailored to the specific desires of our clients,” says Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa.

According to the company, the T680, like the T520 Fenice, embodies elegance with timeless lines inspired by contemporary classic yacht architecture, incorporating elements from the automotive and aerospace industries.

“This second model in the Fenice series incorporates several key elements from the T680’s exterior design, with a particular focus on proportions,” confirms Enrico Gobbi, CEO of Team for Design. “This careful attention to proportions has resulted in sleek and dynamic lines, while also creating spacious and generous areas on board – a remarkable achievement that significantly enhances the experience for owners and guests.”

Gobbi also adds that both the bow and stern feature distinctive shapes, enhancing the fluidity of the profile, which is further emphasized by the sharp edges of the deck contours. “These streamlined forms are reminiscent of jet and car design, conveying a sense of lightness and agility,” he says. “The grey hull with anthracite accents highlights the influence of car design, while maintaining the luxurious appeal of a superyacht.”

Innovative features and design

One of the many highlights of the T520 Fenice is the stern area, characterized by various interconnected spaces on different levels, thoughtfully arranged according to their respective functions. A panoramic cockpit overlooks an infinity pool, flanked by two large sun loungers.

A watercourse flows through the pool, connecting it to the beach club below, which can be accessed via optional transverse stairs between the cockpit and pool. This design creates an impressive three-dimensional effect, linking the cockpit, beach club, swim platform, and even the lower deck gym.

The yacht also boasts a spacious sundeck with a semi-enclosed glass pavilion. At the bow, there is an expansive lounge with a pool and an alfresco dining area on the upper deck, seating 12 guests.

Luxury interior and accommodation

The upper salon is complemented by a fifth VIP guest bedroom located behind the bridge, while the captain’s cabin is also situated on this deck. One deck below, the aft salon and formal dining area lead past the guest lobby to a generous full-beam owner’s suite. This suite includes a study, a large main bedroom with a private starboard terrace, and a forward full-beam bathroom that can be configured in multiple ways.

The lower deck houses four guest cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms, while the crew is accommodated in the forward section. The forward garage under the foredeck has space for a 6.5-meter guest tender, as well as a crew tender and water toys. The beach club at the stern and the gym with a sauna feature two side hatches that open, enhancing the view and blending the interior with the exterior. Opting for the transverse stairs from the aft deck provides an additional sunken cockpit lounge at the entrance to the beach club.

The T520 Fenice marks another step forward for the Italian shipyard, based in the port city of Genoa. “This new yacht once again shows that blending numerous melodies in terms of design and functionality, while offering owners flexibility for personalizing their yacht, is a core strength that differentiates Tankoa in the market,” says Giuseppe Mazza, Sales Manager at Tankoa.
