Sunreef Yachts marked the European premiere of the ULTIMA 55 during this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
Presented in the Vieux Port, the 17-metre powercatamaran expands the ULTIMA line, which already includes the 66, 77, 88 and 111 models. The new yacht is built at Sunreef’s facility in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
The ULTIMA 55 is designed to combine a sporty profile with high comfort. A lightweight carbon deck and foil system aim to improve efficiency and stability at speed. Propulsion comes from twin Volvo Penta D8-IPS-800 engines, delivering top speeds of up to 36 knots.
The layout emphasises versatility, with a semi-open saloon linking interior and exterior areas. At the aft, fold-down platforms extend the beam to 7.6 metres, creating additional space for leisure and watersports. Storage for equipment, a fridge and an ice maker are also integrated. Below deck, the yacht offers a master suite, a VIP stateroom and a crew cabin.
Technological features include the in-house developed WETRA Intelligent Automation System. It integrates data from multiple onboard systems to simplify operation and monitoring, with future upgrades expected to introduce AI-driven preventive maintenance.
With the ULTIMA 55, Sunreef Yachts adds a model to its portfolio that seeks to balance performance, comfort and advanced onboard technology in a sporty powercat format.
