In April, Polish luxury catamaran builder Sunreef Yachts opened a new shipyard in the United Arab Emirates.

Located in Ras Al Khaimah, the new facility focuses initially on producing the Ultima catamaran range. At the opening, Sunreef announced that the company has already received numerous orders for this model.

For yacht production at the Ras Al Khaimah shipyard, Sunreef Yachts is using advanced robotics to streamline the manufacturing of yacht components. According to the company, this modern approach significantly boosts both speed and precision in mold production.

Sunreef can handle components up to 30m x 6m

The robotic systems have been meticulously calibrated by the Sunreef Yachts team, allowing them to handle components up to 30m x 6m. This level of precision exceeds that of traditional CNC machines, as the robots can maneuver at a wider range of angles, providing greater flexibility in shaping materials.

Primarily applied to mold production, Sunreef Yachts plans to expand the use of robotics, further enhancing the facility’s capabilities.
