Heesen Yachts has introduced YN 20955, code-named “Project Agnetha”, the newest model in its acclaimed 55-metre Steel series.
Designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, the yacht features a striking profile with updated exterior lines that incorporate contemporary design elements, offering a refined and modern aesthetic.
Clean horizontal lines emphasise the yacht’s visual length, complemented by extensive tinted glazing on the main and upper decks. The exterior design includes innovative features such as the distinctive ‘shark tooth’ motif on the wheelhouse overhang. A streamlined superstructure without fashion plates creates a pillar-free aft section, enhancing the seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces and providing uninterrupted sea views, including from the sky lounge. The main deck dining area also benefits from mullion-free windows, further strengthening the yacht’s connection to its surroundings.

Agnetha is powered by MTU engines
Beneath the surface, “Project Agnetha” demonstrates advanced engineering. The fast displacement hull is powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 engines (IMO Tier III), delivering a top speed of 15.5 knots. Designed to operate safely in varying sea conditions, the yacht is suited for extended, long-range cruising.
Mark Cavendish, Heesen CCO, comments: “The Heesen 55-metre Steel Class is constantly evolving, and ‘Project Agnetha’ is the result. The beauty of buying this kind of superyacht is that the shipyard has taken care of all the technical aspects and has perfected the platform, incorporating in-depth feedback from our constant dialogue with brokers, owners and captains. So when clients join the project, they can enjoy the fun part of building a superyacht, focusing on all those details that will make the yacht truly theirs.”
Accommodation is provided for twelve guests across six staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite located forward on the main deck, featuring separate his and hers dressing rooms and bathrooms, and a private veranda to starboard. The lower deck houses four guest cabins, while a VIP suite is situated on the bridge deck. This layout offers flexibility and privacy, making the 55-metre class well-suited for both private use and charter operations.
The interior, created by Luca Dini Design and Architecture, is focused on warmth, comfort, and a sense of familiarity. A palette of warm tones and traditional detailing creates a welcoming environment, ideally suited to owners and guests who spend extended time on board.
“Project Agnetha” is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2025.
