Damen Yachting has delivered the latest unit of its Amels 60 series. The yacht, named “Alva”, departed the Vlissingen City yard following completion of her build and an official naming ceremony and is now heading for the Mediterranean.
Sold in the latter part of 2025, “Alva” exemplifies the Amels Limited Editions concept, which combines comparatively fast delivery with a proven technical platform, strong seakeeping capabilities and Dutch build quality. Although the owner joined the project only a few months prior to delivery, a number of bespoke modifications and owner-specific requests were implemented. These adjustments were aimed in particular at enhancing the yacht’s appeal on the charter market.
The interiors, designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, create a calm, contemporary yet welcoming atmosphere with a strong connection to the sea. Abundant natural light and fluid indoor-outdoor transitions define the spatial experience. The timeless exterior by Espen Øino, characterised by distinctive lines and trapezoid windows, complements this design approach.
On board, “Alva” features a spacious sun deck with an outdoor cinema, a semi-enclosed gym, a large spa pool and a main deck owner’s suite with a fold-down balcony. An expansive beach club further strengthens the connection to the water, offering a dedicated wellness and entertainment area at sea level.
“Alva” will be available for charter through Christie Yachts. After her initial Mediterranean season, including cruises along the French and Italian coasts, the Balearic Islands and Greece, she is scheduled to relocate to the Caribbean for the 2026/27 winter season.
“Parting with a yacht is always a poignant moment for our team, but we are very happy to see ‘Alva’ commence this first chapter with her owner,” said Jorrit Pilaar, Commercial Executive EMEA at Damen Yachting.
