It is set to be a show of innovation and emotion. From May 12 to 14, the Hamburg ancora Yacht Festival will take place in Neustadt in Holstein.
After last year’s “comeback” and a positive outcome, the 14th edition of Germany’s largest in-water boat show is set to increase the euphoria for the future. It will be a boat show in which catamarans will be presented in an unprecedented variety and in which the topic of e-mobility on the water will gain momentum,” say the organizers.
Around 180 boats and yachts will bring the yachting season to life directly in their natural element, the water. Visitors will go on a voyage of discovery on the boats and yachts on the jetties in the ancora Marina, experience advice in the 80 pagodas and be inspired by infotainment in expert lectures, workshops and demonstrations on 1,500 m² in the exhibition hall.
“There is nothing better than showing the boats in the water,” was the unanimous opinion of the exhibitors last year. That is why there will also be a wide range this year: renowned brands such as Faurby, Norship, X-Yachts, Linjet, Shogun, Hallberg Rassy, Dufour, Jeanneau, Bénéteau, Bavaria, Dehler, Hanse, Moody, Winner, Princess, Absolut, Sunseeker, Elling, Linssen, Targa, Nimbus, Marex, Sealine, Axopar, Saxor, Quicksilver, SeaRay and others are planning to come to Neustadt on the Baltic Sea.
Six registered catamarans on the jetties in the ancora Marina are set to become the Boat Show’s main attraction. With the French company Fountaine Pajot, one of the leading catamaran manufacturers is coming to Neustadt with three boats. Among them, a motor catamaran will be presented for the first time in the ancora Marina. The Lagoon brand, the world’s largest manufacturer of sailing catamarans, will also be on hand with two boats to provide an insight into its wide range of products. “The catamaran from Nautitech rounds off the show of luxurious travel and opens the way to the dreamlike world of water sports,” the announcement continues.
E-mobility will be an important topic. The development of e-motors should make the leap from the road to the water. The higher efficiency of the drives, more powerful batteries and a better network of charging stations will turn the auxiliary power unit on board into a fully-fledged drive. “At ancora Marina, we are presenting real e-motion boats that open up the world of travel to environmentally conscious water sports enthusiasts with a greater range,” says Heiko Zimmermann, Managing Director of Yachtfestivals365 GmbH.
E-mobility, hybrid drives and self-sufficient charging via solar modules on board characterize the innovations of Candela Boats X-Shore from Sweden and Greenline Yachts from Slovenia or Delphia from Poland, who will be showing the future of yachting in Neustadt. Of course, the pioneers of e-drives and generators from Torqeedo, Fischer Panda, E-Propulsion and Temo from France will also be represented.
