Silent Yachts has completed its most complex project to date. The Italian builder’s first SY80 solar-electric catamaran has been launched and is now preparing for its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025.

The 24.38-metre yacht has already been sold and was fully customised according to the owner’s preferences. As the new flagship of the Silent Yachts fleet, the highly anticipated SY80 brings together all the sustainable technologies from previous models, now on a larger scale.

The catamaran offers accommodation for up to 12 guests with a focus on Italian craftsmanship, comfort and flexible design. Owners can choose between 2-Deck, 3-Deck Open or 3-Deck Closed configurations, all of which allow for either a spacious on-deck master suite or an open-plan saloon with the master cabin on the lower deck.

The first SY80 is a 2-Deck version with four guest cabins, including master and VIP suites. It features a dedicated helm station offering 360-degree views, expansive sunbeds on the upper deck, and generous social areas on the main deck — including what Silent Yachts claims to be the most spacious panoramic saloon in its class. Further highlights include a bar, lounge zones, and a cleverly concealed garage within the port hull, while the starboard hull provides additional storage for water toys or diving equipment.

With a focus on silent, near-zero-emission cruising, the SY80 delivers top speeds of 12 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 7–8 knots. The catamaran’s impressive battery capacity of 522 kWh / 696 kWh, paired with a 22.4 kWp solar array, underlines Silent Yachts’ commitment to sustainability and next-generation efficiency.

In addition to this first unit, two SY80 3-Deck versions have already been sold.
