Project “Shadow” takes off as “Avanti”

“Avanti” is the latest project to be completed at the Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen and has now been delivered[ds_preview].

The Amels 242 yacht was built under the project name Shadow. According to the shipyard, she is the sixth yacht to be delivered with this design and also the first to be IMO Tier III-compliant.

With a GT of 1,790, the “Avanti” offers space for twelve guests in six cabins and for 19 crew members. The yacht’s garage houses three dinghies, two wave runners and professional diving equipment, according to Damen Yachting.

The exterior design was provided by Tim Heywood. Winch Design was responsible for the interior design.

Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Director of Damen Yachting, thanked the owner’s crew and team for the excellent cooperation, which has been challenging due to the pandemic. He continued: “It is always a very proud moment for everyone at Damen Yachting when one of our yachts sets sail on her maiden voyage and we wish the owner and crew of ‘Avanti’ all the best for the exciting adventures that lie ahead.”
