The Nobiskrug shipyard in Rendsburg can now complete the construction of a mega yacht that was already in the order book before the insolvency and takeover by FSG.
With the signing of a contract for a major order, “an important milestone has been reached in the repositioning of Nobiskrug Werft as part of the takeover by Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft”, the company announced today. The newbuild in question is now entering the final outfitting phase, which includes the coating work on the hull and, in particular, the interior outfitting. The plan is to deliver the superyacht in mid-2022.

According to reports, the yacht is the 795 project, which was already in the shipyard’s order book before the insolvency, but was then initially put on ice. Since then, extensive negotiations have been underway with the client to complete the new build in Rendsburg.
“The signing of the contract marks another important milestone in the relaunch of Nobiskrug Werft,” said Managing Director Philipp Maracke. The shipyard has a wealth of experience, “both in terms of the integration of highly networked technical systems of yachts, high-quality hull coating or glass work, as well as the meticulously coordinated shipbuilding processes”.
Maracke also referred to the “particularly good cooperation” between Scott Wightman from Motor Yacht Build, the owner’s representative, and the shipyard team, which is led by project manager Dirk Hemsen: “After taking over the shipyard, we established an extremely trusting and cooperative relationship within a very short time.”
On the HANSA PODCAST, the managing director of Nobiskrug and the Flensburg shipyard FSG, which was also taken over by Tennor-Holding from investor Lars Windhorst, emphasized the yacht market as a core market for the shipyards alongside marine and ferry construction.
