“Memories” – Another Espen Øino yacht departs from Damen

Following a private naming ceremony, the Amels 60 “Memories” has left the Damen Yachting shipyard in Vlissingen and has been handed over to her new owner.

As with all Amels 60s, the exterior design of “Memories” was created by Espen Øino International. She features the signature geometric windows and includes many of the refinements introduced in recent deliveries. “Memories” is also the first Amels 60 to feature a fully custom interior by Harrison Eidsgaard — marking the first time an Amels new build has been fitted with a Harrison Eidsgaard design.

The owner of “Memories” was introduced by Moran Yacht & Ship just six months prior to delivery — a timeline perfectly suited to the Amels Limited Editions concept. Despite joining the process at a late stage, the owner was still able to implement several customisations, including modifications to the Beach Club, the owner’s areas, and the Sun Deck — where a large sofa and a ceiling-mounted drop-down TV have replaced the original dining table and bar. The Bridge Deck Aft has also been transformed from a lounge with a TV and games table into an open-air cinema. Remarkably, even with these late changes, the 60-metre Amels was delivered on schedule and is now ready for charter.

Joppe Osté, Project Manager of Amels 60 “Memories”, commented: “When the owner came on board, the yacht was already at an advanced stage of construction. The benefit of this was that decisions could be made quickly, allowing delivery before the start of summer. Until a buyer steps in, we design the yacht with all potential clients in mind. Our sales, design, and proposal teams work closely together — and that’s a major advantage. The custom interiors by Harrison Eidsgaard strongly appealed to the new owner, which enabled us to stay on track and continue according to plan.”
