GX Superyachts has appointed Maurizio Magri to the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer and as a new member of the Board.
Magri is a seasoned industry professional with a long list of success stories built over a 40-year career. The Italian has launched start-ups, revitalised long-established brands and helped companies maximise their sales potential. He attended the Naval Academy of Livorno, Italy, and studied Maritime Business Administration at Texas A&M University.
Although he has been active across the entire maritime sector, from oil and gas to defence, his more recent focus has been firmly on yachting, with roles at CBI Navi, Admiral, Technomar and Wider. In these positions, he demonstrated his ability to develop commercial strategies, sharpen brand positioning and drive sales growth.
“I am very excited to be leading sales at GX Superyachts, which has made such a splash in its first year,” said Maurizio Magri. “As CCO, I will focus on helping the business convert enquiries into orders following a stellar 15 months that saw the launch of three new models: GX42, GX38 Voyager and GX34. At the same time, I look forward to introducing new clients to the GX Superyachts family.”
“Young yacht brands often struggle to make their voices heard above more established names, but GX Superyachts has not had this problem,” said GX Superyachts founder Vladimir Zinchenko. “On the contrary, we have been overwhelmed by the level of interest in our sleek, efficient hybrid yachts, which offer a strong response to the environmental concerns of future owners. This is why it made sense to recruit an experienced yachting industry leader to help take sales to the next level. I am delighted to welcome Maurizio to the team.”
GX Superyachts will expand its commercial operations from Monaco, where Maurizio Magri will oversee customer relations as well as the company’s commercial and public relations initiatives. The first GX42 is scheduled for delivery in summer 2026.
