The third unit of the new Mangusta 165 REV series was launched in Viareggio recently. It’s the flagship in the Maxi Open Line, capable of delivering a maximum speed of 35 knots.
Such performances are made possible by four Rolls Royce, 2.600 HP engines, coupled with a Kongsberg Kamewa water-jet propulsion system and completed by the long-standing experience of Overmarine Group’s shipyard in the processing of composite materials, the company says.
This yacht has fully-custom interiors designed by M2 Atelier in cooperation with the shipyard’s design team; the exteriors have been pencilled by design firm Lobanov Design, who teamed up with Overmarine’s technical department to reinterpret the classic lines of Mangusta open yachts modifying the layout and optimising interior volumes.
Due to Mangusta, the large, floor-to-ceiling glazed surfaces are the most distinctive element of the saloon on the main deck, with their beauty further enhanced by the two lateral fold-down balconies. The 92 sq. m. (990 sq./ft.) master stateroom is unparalleled in size in the yacht segment below 499 GT and is flawlessly integrated in the hull, which endows the vessel with a very elegant style, the company continues. The lower deck is reserved for guests, who will find accommodation in 5 comfortable cabins.
Mangusta’s new build will be delivered in June
Outdoor relaxation is ensured by a proper lounge located forward and furnished with sofas, sunbathing areas, and a Jacuzzi, while the sundeck has a bar area and couches that make it just perfect for more convivial moments.
With the 165 REV, Mangusta has reshaped the aft beach club. The garage with side access offers generous volumes and allows for the easy handling of a 6 m tender and two jet-skis. The vessel will be delivered to the owner at the end of June and will then spend the summer cruising the Mediterranean sea. The sale of the third hull of the Mangusta Maxi Open flagship was managed directly by Mangusta Sales Manager Nicolò Strocco.
