With the “Kismet”, Lürssen has delivered its latest mega yacht. The 122 metre long ship was built at the Kröger shipyard in Schacht-Audorf.
The “Kismet” (project name Jag) was commissioned by a long-standing Lürssen customer, the company announced. As usual, neither further details nor the price were disclosed.
Lürssen last built the “Cali” and the “Luminance”. All that is known about the latest new build is that the elegant exterior design comes from the Nuvolari Lenard design office and the interior was created by Reymond Langton Design. Highlights include a two-storey, open entrance with extensive video walls, a Nemo cinema on the lower deck with a 150-inch television and an underwater seating area, as well as a luxurious 7-star wellness area.
Lürssen Yacht “Kismet” gets MTU engines
The silhouette of the 17.8 m wide and 4.8 m deep “Kismet” is characterised by a majestic mast and a leaping jaguar bow figure. “We believe that with our technical expertise we have fulfilled the owner’s wish and vision for a yacht that will be timeless and ahead of its time for many years to come,” says shipyard boss Peter Lürßen.
The MTU engines will accelerate the private vessel to 20 knots. There will be space on board for 20 guests and 40 crew members. Industry insiders estimate the price at $360 million and suspect that Shahid Khan is the owner. The Pakistani-American billionaire is said to have a private fortune of $7.8 billion.
